Vintage 60s CWU-1/P Coverall Flying M Long Orange Tactical Air Command

$199.95

In the early 60s the Navy switched from orange flight suits to the sage green ones mainly because of the start of the Vietnam War. American pilots wanted a green flight suit as to be less visible if shot down over enemy territory. None the less, orange flight suits like these remained in service for training, civil, and experimental use for a number of years after the switch. This CWU-1/P flight suit has a QM (quarter master) number dating it to 1961 and has an official Tactical Air Command patch.
